Chris Collins

Bio

Chris Collins is a veteran lacrosse coach and former professional goaltender with deep experience across the professional, collegiate, and international levels of the game. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Premier Lacrosse League’s Redwoods Lacrosse Club, where he works as the defensive coordinator and goaltending coach, helping develop professional defenders and goalkeepers. Prior to his professional coaching role, Collins spent more than a decade at Drexel University as defensive coordinator and goaltending coach after beginning his coaching career at the University of Delaware, where he helped guide the program to a conference championship and the 2007 NCAA Final Four. 

As a player, Collins enjoyed a long professional career as a goaltender in both Major League Lacrosse and the National Lacrosse League, competing with organizations including the Baltimore and Washington Bayhawks, Chicago Machine, New York Titans, New England Black Wolves, and the Philadelphia Wings. He also represented Team USA at the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, where the team earned a bronze medal, and Collins posted the tournament’s highest save percentage. 

A standout at the University of Delaware, Collins was a three-year starting goalkeeper, team captain, and a 2005 All-American, setting school records for goals-against average and finishing among the program’s all-time leaders in saves. His playing and coaching career has centered on developing elite defensive systems and goaltenders, bringing decades of high-level experience to athletes at every stage of the game.
